REGIONAL CLASSROOM TRAINING

The graphic arts industry moves pretty fast these days. Now that everyone has access to pretty much the same set of tools – RIPs, color profiling software, and workflow software, there are very few competitive advantages to be had. There is one, though – knowledge. You and your competitors may have the same tools, but if your staff knows the tools better and can use them more efficiently, you have an advantage. While the other guys are struggling with their software and missing deadlines, you can be getting jobs out the door and impressing your customers. Knowledge is the key. But where do you find that knowledge?

New Vision provides certified classroom training for a wide variety of products, including ONYX, Hewlett-Packard (HP), and others at our location in Greenville, SC. We can also bring these classes to your facility through our On Site & Custom training program if hardware and software are not a consideration. Our certified training program includes all documentation and hands-on exercises so you and your staff have all the tools to succeed.

We are currently offering training for the Hewlett-Packard (HP) solvent printer 8000s, 9000s, and 10000s series with classes ranging from two and a half days to five days. HP requires that all resellers are certified to install and break/fix in order to be eligible to sell printers or receive rebates. New Vision is currently the only third-party service organization that conducts these QSR (qualified solvent resellers) certification programs.

Onyx RIPs for HP Designjet Low-solvent: Install, Use & Troubleshoot
This 1 day course costs $599 and covers installation, usage & troubleshooting, preparing engineers to train end users to use the RIP in conjunction with the HP Designjet 8000, 9000, or 10000.

*NOTE: Students with RIP experience may exempt this class by validating that they have gained the equivalent knowledge through training and/or work experience. The exemption only applies to those students who have the necessary proficiency to install, configure, and train end users on the use of Onyx Graphics PosterShop and SignEZ RIPs. The training validation form will be provided on request at the time of training registration.

HP Designjet 8000/9000/10000 Install and Use Training
For those resellers who have never been trained on Hewlett-Packard (HP) Designjet 8000s, Designjet 9000s or Designjet 10000s, this 4-day training class is for you. The installation training focuses on checklists, environmental health and safety, purification systems, hands-on labs, media management, triggers and counters, and more. HP Designjet 8000/9000/10000 Service and Support Training
The Hewlett-Packard (HP) Designjet 8000s/9000s/10000s Break/Fix training class is offered to those who have already completed the HP Designjet 8000s/9000s/10000s Installation Training Class, through certification and training through New Vision. The training class lasts 2 1/2 days, costs $1,850 per person, and covers media axis, media conditioning, scan axis, service station, print heads, ink system, electronics, and more. HP Designjet 10000s Installation & Break/Fix Training Class
The Hewlett-Packard (HP) Designjet 10,000s training class lasts 2.5 days and is held at New Vision's training center in Greenville, SC. During the class, customers will learn more about the Designjet 10,000s, specifically topics such as certificate of installation and checklists, environmental health and safety, care packs, hands-on labs, Onyx Postershop, media manager and reports, troubleshooting, triggers and counters, break/fix, and more. Prints In Motion™
Prints In Motion™, a multi-city training tour designed to educate print and signage vendors on how they can use solvent printing and wrap application services to grow their businesses.

In a rare open forum, New Vision brought together industry leaders HP, 3M, GBC and Onyx to provide a unique learning opportunity for the Signage and Print Service markets. Expert instructors including Nationally Certified 3M Installers and HP Certified Solvent Technicians were on hand to provide critical training and live demonstrations on solvent printing and wrap application techniques.

The tour stopped in five major cities beginning with Atlanta, GA, during December and January and then swung through the northern portion of the country with at least five more stops in the spring. Each day-long event featured a live car wrap installation from start to finish as well as printing, finishing and cutting demonstrations.
