COLOR WORKFLOW

ICC profiling and color calibration are a couple of the real "hot button" issues in graphic arts today. Luckily, the software for making profiles has come a long way in just the past few years. This means that making the profile is now relatively easy. But then what do you do? How do you use profiles effectively in the workflow in order to optimize the workstations and the workflow? Put simply, how do you use these tools to get the results that you want and that your customers demand?

Do you use the profiles within the application, within the RIP (Raster Image Processors), or from a Color Server? Do you have all of the tools that you need to fully leverage the capabilities of an ICC compliant workflow? New Vision can help answer this type of question for you. Beginning with a site survey, we can determine your expectations, as well as defining the type of equipment, hardware, software, and users. With this information, we will create a customized training program to bring your location up to speed on technology as well as to develop the understanding required for making future technology decisions. In a properly configured ICC Compliant workflow, the applications will be configured to accurately preview and predict color, while the other components will be configured to respond to the desired expectation of color control. This begins with profiles of the input, display, and output in order to create color communication between all of the devices in the workflow.

New Vision technicians have experience in scanning and digital capture, color correction, prepress and workflow automation, and virtually all aspects of printing including large and grand format, photo labs, commercial printing, and flexography. Combined with experience in RIP technologies and process and quality control, New Vision can provide the personnel to help you meet and exceed your color requirements.
